Favorite LGBTQIA+ Reads | Top 5 Wednesday Rewind

Good morning everyone! Today is a post that I’ve been looking forward to talking about and that’s some of my favorite LGBTQIA+ reads.

I’m sure we can all agree that we don’t read enough. I know for a fact I don’t read nearly enough F/F romances so make sure you recommend some in the comments!

But let’s just get right into this!

So, as I said before, I definitely need to read more books that feature queer characters, but there’s specifically one identity that I really want to see more in books, the one I identify as, and that’s pan. This is both pansexual and panromantic. While I think I lead more toward panromantic, I choose to identify as pan.

So, please, if you have any recommendations, let me know!

These are in no particular order at all. Except for the last one. That’s the one that will probably always be a favorite because of how much I identified with the main character.

Red, white & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

I put this one first because it’s one that no one is going to be surprised about. Honestly, besides a couple, you’re not going to be surprised by any of these choices. The only reason you’re going to be surprised by two of them is because they are Webtoons.

Acception by Colourbee

Here’s the first Webtoon I’m going to talk about. This one mainly follows our main character Arcus. He dresses very brightly and is secretly a very well-known fashion blogger. He’s starting at a new school and meeting all sorts of different people along the way, starting with his complete opposite, Maud.

This webtoon features so many different types of people from all sorts of different upbringings. I can’t help but to love it for that and the fact that we can all relate to someone in this story. We can relate to different characters in different ways and understand other characters along the way. It’s a very quick one to read and currently is in between “seasons.” Season 3 starts back up in May so catch up on it now so you can be around for the new season!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Again, no one is surprised. This one is so very special in its own way because it portrays a romance of a celebrity that had to hide who she was because she was in the public eye. If you haven’t read this, you should. And the audiobook is really good as well!

Brimstone and Roses by Mei rothschild

Another webtoon that I absolutely adore. The main character is bisexual and at the beginning of the story, she is still trying to get over her ex-girlfriend. But her sister’s wedding is coming up and she needs a date to prove to her ex that she’s over her. Except she doesn’t have a date, so to solve her problems, she summons a demon. And because of the deal made with her, she’s stuck with him until she finds love.

Little & Lion by Brandy COlbert

And this is it! The final one in this list. This is one of those stories that I just can’t help but to feel connected to because of how similar the main character and I were in our situations.

Speaking of this photo, if you didn’t know, I have hosted a readathon called SelfLoveathon. It’s a readathon where, in the first round, you read books that you felt connected to. I have some other ideas for themes for it, but I would really like to know who would participate if I held it again. So if you want me to, let me know.

And that’s going to be it for this one. I do hope you enjoyed this post. Make sure to respond to the question of the day below. Thank you so much and I’ll see you all soon. Stay happy and healthy.

Thank you for including webtoons! I’ve been wanting to explore them as I don’t know much! I love physical graphic novels, so I figured I would enjoy them.

    • They are so quick and easy to read. But be aware that when you catch up, sometimes each chapter just isn’t enough and you’ll be wanting more everytime. I made a post a while ago about my favorite Webtoons. I can send you a link to that post if you want 😀
