Weekly Update | May 24th, 2020

Good evening everyone! I’m here to update you all on how my reading has gone this week. I’ll also be letting you know my plans for next week.

Comment below to let me know how your reading went this week.

Let’s get into this!

So, this is going to be from May 18th to the 24th. I ended up finishing books this week, 3 of which were manga. I’m happy with that though. I know I could’ve done better, but I’m still happy with it. I have big plans for next week.

You can check out my full reviews of these books by clicking on the photos.

I ended up finishing the audiobook for Renegades by Marissa Meyer this week and I absolutely LOVED it! I go more in detail on my thoughts in my review, but I definitely will have to do a series review for this series because holy crap I have a lot of thoughts about what this book did very well.

I ended up giving this 5 stars and I think that it’s very deserving of that.

Add this book to your GoodReads by clicking here or order it from your local indie bookstore by clicking here.

I also ended up reading the first volume of How Do We Relationship?

I got this manga for my honest review from Netgalley and Viz Media.

Overall, I really enjoyed this manga. I couldn’t get enough of it. As soon as I finished it, I really wanted more. That being said, the story itself is pretty average. It’s the story of two women meeting their freshman year in college, both finding out that the other loves ladies, and getting into a relationship. It follows their relationship after they get together and the struggles they are facing.

It’s exactly what I expected it to be which was both fine and kind of disappointing. I don’t know what else I would have expected, but it was a bit disappointing that I expected everything that happened.

Just be warned that it is fairly explicit, so be weary going into that if you don’t like seeing that.

This manga will be released June 9th. Preorder it from your local indie bookstore here or add it to your GoodReads here.

I also continued reading My Hero Academia volumes 7-9. As always, I loved them! This series just keeps getting better and better. I was left on the edge of my seat at the end of volume 9 and I need to know what happens next!

That being said, let’s get into what I plan on reading next week! So, I have some big plans for the rest of this month. Oh man. You all are going to think I’m crazy. And let’s be honest, I am.

Currently Reading

I am currently listening to this an audio. I’m currently about 3 and a half hours in and Libby says that I’ve got 8 and a half hours left. I’m listening on 1.5x speed, so I’ve only technically listened for about 2 hours.

I’m nearly done with this one and have been trying to finish it for so long. But I definitely will this week.

I’m so into this story right now. I love these two together and I know I’m going to be rooting for them the entire time!

I’m buddy reading this with a lovely group of book lovers and it’s a reread for me. I’m enjoying my reread so far and I’m super excited to dive deeper.

Manga

So, obviously I want to continue and catch up to what I own of My Hero Academia. But that’s not all I want to read. The next several books are ARCs that I’ve received that come out this week and early next month.

ARCs

This is the sequel to Just One of the Groomsmen and I’m so excited to follow the characters of this. I know who it’s following for the male character, the female is questionable because I haven’t looked at the synopsis in a while to see her name, but I know generally who it is. I’m so excited for this.

I got this one from Entangled Publishing.

This one I got from Netgalley. This one is available in paperback already, but the eBook is being released this week.

This is another from Entangled Publishing and it follows a single mom which is always something that catches my attention.

Everything Else

This is the last book by Lizzy Charles that I’ll have to read and then I’ve read everything!

I’m freaking determined to finish this dang book. Jeez.

This will be an audiobook listen for Romanceopoly. Same with this next book.

Webtoons

I need to finish and catch up on Mage & Demon Queen. It started back up again and I want to keep up week to week. Then I plan on working on Age Matters. But before I can get to those, I have to catch up with the rest of the webtoons that I was caught up on, but got behind on.

Those are really my only plans that I have. I want to watch more My Hero and more romance movies, but we’ll see if that happens.

Thank you all so much for joining me tonight for this post and I hope you enjoyed! Let me know your reading plans for this week!

I’ll see you all very soon!
