June Book Haul | 2020

Good morning everyone. I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’m going to be talking about the 9 manga and 4 books that I ended up getting. I don’t currently have the second two books, but I got them in June and I think they’ll be here before June is over.

That being said, I also got Owlcrate that should be here Monday. So let me know if you want me to do an unboxing on my YouTube for that.

I got the manga from Amazon and the other books from Uncle Bobbie’s Coffee and Books shop through BookShop.org

I’m trying to get away from using Amazon as much so I can support indie bookstores more.

I originally made a video to go along with this but I ended up scrapping it. I’m in a funk where I’m not liking anything I’m creating. But that’s why the background for the graphic below is a thumbnail photo.

Let’s just get right into this.

So, let’s start out with the manga that I ended up getting first.

I got volumes 16-24 of My Hero Academia. This completes my collection of what’s currently out for My Hero so I can finally sit down and binge read the rest of this series.

Next, I have two books that are part of the same “series.”

All Out and Out Now are anthologies by queer authors telling queer stories. I can’t wait to get into these stories and I’m hoping to read them throughout the month of July. It’s my birthday month, so what better way to spend it than reading some queer stories and hopefully relating to some of them!

A Song Below Water is a story about a siren who ends up revealing that she’s a siren at the worst possible time after a siren murder trial that rocked the nation and her best friend who is fighting her own demons. I believe this focuses on the friendship between these two characters and the social issues that are displayed.

I can’t wait to read this. I’ve been really looking for some books that focus on friendship and I think this book is going to be just that.

A Song of Wraiths and Ruin is a book that I gave into the hype for without knowing anything about it. I don’t know what this story is about, but I’m still looking forward to reading it. I haven’t heard any thoughts on it and I want to keep it that way.

Everyone was hyping it up when it was releasing so I just made sure to get my hands on it. I’ll probably end up listening to the audiobook for it, though.

I’m really excited about this book and have heard nothing but good things about it. I can’t wait to dive into it when I get my copy in (Okay, we all know that it’ll probably be put off for a while, but you know what I mean).

Another one that I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about. I can’t wait for this story. It’s going to be hilarious and I just know it. Enemies to lovers always is for me.

Okay! Those are all of the books that I ended up getting in the month of July! I’m really excited for all of these books and if you’d like to buddy read any of them, let me know.

Thanks so much for joining me and I’ll see you all very soon.
