Good morning/evening/late night everyone. It’s currently 1 AM where I live and I had posted on Twitter and Instagram earlier that I would definitely be getting a post up. Well, I laid down with my son and decided I most certainly was not getting a post up. That was approximately 3 hours ago.
I was struggling with falling asleep and feeling tired really at all, so here I am, keeping my promise.
Today I will be talking about 5 things that I would like to do before this year is done. These are going to be things that I would like to accomplish, but I wouldn’t really say is a bucket list. This isn’t going to be things like “go on vacation” or stuff like that because, well, the world is falling apart.
So, let’s just get right into this and just know that I am eating some ice cream right now and have no shame.
1. Learn Korean (or at least start)
So, this is something that I’ve both done before and said I would do before. I’ve started learning Korean. I know some basics. But I would like to at the very least be able to understand it when reading and listening.
I think that it would be so awesome to be able to know another language that I didn’t have to learn through school and Korean is a language I’ve wanted to learn for many many years now.
2. Find a new job
This one is hopefully going to happen a lot sooner rather than later, but it’s something that I’m striving for. I would love to find a new job. I am not a fan of my current job. It doesn’t make me happy and I would love to not have to return to it, especially in this climate.
3. Start a new hobby
So, the first half of the year, I discovered Diamond Painting. And I absolutely ADORE doing it. I would love to find something else that I can do like that. I’m honestly leaning toward some gaming. I’ve really wanted to try my hand in streaming, but I can’t seem to find a time that would work or a way that I’d be able to.
I struggle with some eye issues and it’s hard for me to see some things. The main reason I’ve been playing Animal Crossing so much is because of the size of the screen. I can play it the handheld way and actually be able to see it properly.
But I can’t figure out streaming without it being on the TV. I have an idea, though, so I may be able to figure it out.
4. Start cooking meals every day
This may seem like something that is very normal for a lot of people, but it’s not for me. Generally I suck at choosing what to eat (more so than men claim women are) so I tend to make my husband figure it out and make it. I want to start being the one to do it.
I have a love/hate relationship with cooking. But I know it’s something I could possibly enjoy doing so I would like to be able to do it more.
5. Get on a better schedule
I don’t really mean this as like a super strict schedule. But as you can see, it’s 1 AM (more like 1:30 now) and I’m still awake and struggling to fall asleep. I would like to be able to get a better handle on my sleep schedule and go to sleep at a decent time to wake up at a decent time.
That alone would be a huge step in me figure out the rest. This will be necessary for me to be able to do other things with my day and be able to fit those things in.
So that’s really it for this blog post. I do hope you all enjoyed (for anyone who is going to be reading this).
Make sure you let me know in the comments some things you would like to do before 2021.
Thanks so much for joining me and I’ll see you all very soon (aka probably in a couple hours).
