Little Reading, But there are K-Dramas! | Weekly Update July 13-18, 2020

Good morning everyone! I hope you all are doing well. Again, I haven’t been around, but here’s to trying again.

Today I’m going to wrap up last week’s reading and watching and go over what my plans are this week for reading and watching. I have some big ones, let’s just say that.

Let’s just get right into this.

Books I Read Last Week

So, I’m not going to get too in depth with these first two, but the third book I read, I’ll discuss a bit more. The first two I read were volumes 14 and 15 of My Hero Academia. I really loved these volumes. They continued to impress me like all of the other volumes. We finally got to meet some characters I’ve been waiting for so I know things are just going to continue to impress me.

As for the third book I read, I finished listening to Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert. I absolutely ADORED this book. I can’t even express it. I loved these characters and I loved their romance. This one I feel was a bit more steamy than the last one, but that’s perfectly okay with me. I CANNOT wait to see what else Talia Hibbert puts out. I for sure will get it. They have become an autobuy author for me. I just have to get my hands on a physical copy of this book.

Dramas I Watched

So, I am changing this category to just “dramas” rather than K-Dramas because I’ve been expanding out of just Korean dramas and I’m currently watching a Chinese drama, which I’ll talk about more in my goals for this week.

But I did end up finish the K-drama I was watching, My First First Love. There are two seasons of this on Netflix and I really enjoyed this one. Because it was a love triangle story, I was of course rooting for the guy who lost out. But I also feel like the writers handled it all very well.

But I do think the ending was rushed. I would have liked for it to be dragged out a bit more and then had a third season added on that was a deep dive into the last episode or two. There were so many things that were just kind of brushed over or said instead of shown. I don’t want to get too deep into it because of spoilers, but I feel like they could have extended it to a third season and it would have been just as good.

I know, not a very impressive list of things that I’ve done. But you’ll get to see why now. Here are some screenshots and videos from this week’s Animal Crossing adventures. I finally got Bubblegum KK so it’s on multiple radios around my town and my villagers keep singing it. It’s the cutest thing. IF you haven’t done it, please do.

And now, please enjoy Julian, Kabuki, and Biski singing Bubblegum KK.

Alright, I’m just going to go into my plans for this week really quickly because my computer is about to die. But I plan on reading more of My Hero Academia, finish Archenemies, and read The Truth About Alice and The Boyfriend Project. I also would like to read at least one backlist ARC, but we’ll see if that ends up happening.

And as for the shows I want to watch, I would like to finish watching the Chinese Drama, Put Your Head on My Shoulder, which I’m absolutely loving! I honestly might finish that before I even get this post up, but we’ll see.

And then I would like to catch up on It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and hopefully watch a Thai drama called Sotus or another Chinese drama called A Little Thing Called First Love.

But no matter what I end up doing, I would like to make sure I’m posting regularly on my social media. So make sure you’re following my Instagram. The handle is @mandathebibleo so it won’t be hard to find. That’s hopefully where I’ll mainly be.

Thank you all so much for joining me and make sure you comment below with your plans for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful day and a wonderful week. Thanks so much for joining me! See you all very soon.
