Audiobooks I Own and Still Have to Listen To

Good morning everyone. It’s been about a week since I posted anything and I’m sorry about that. But I’m here now! Ready to talk about audiobooks again.

I have a random urge to binge clean my entire house tomorrow, but I need to keep that motivation into tomorrow. I won’t be able to do it tonight because I have to still put my son to sleep and then get myself asleep Not to mention I live in an apartment and I’d feel bad about cleaning up late at night.

I’ve been struggling the last week with motivation again. I gave myself a break, like one of my recent posts talked about. It was needed and I’m glad I did it. It all started when Instagram decided to put me in jail for a bit, figuratively. I haven’t been able to like, comment, or post anything. Well, I could without captions, but that kinda defeats half the purpose.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this post. Let’s get right into it.

Let me start out by saying that I don’t have an Audible membership anymore. I don’t plan on getting one again, either. I don’t want to support Amazon when it comes to books, so I’m using other means to get my audiobooks. If it’s an Audible only audiobook, then it looks like I’m not listening to it.

But that being said, I did get books from Audible that I need to listen to still. So I’m going to go over those and would recommend getting these audiobooks elsewhere, if possible. This will be from the one I’ve had the longest to the one I got the most recently.

I honestly have no idea what this one is about, but it’s only 37 minutes long so I have no excuse for not giving it a chance. It’s in my library and I think I got it from the free Audible exclusives or whatever.

Another that I think I got through Amazon’s free book a month thing they have. They aren’t ever really choices that I’m interested in or that I’ve ever heard of, but I figured I’d give them a chance. Needless to say, I haven’t listened to any of them yet.

One good thing about doing these posts, I realize I have books that I forgot about completely. I didn’t know that I had this audiobook. So I guess I should prioritize it soon.

Do I even need to say where this one came from? Like I said, I haven’t read any of the books I got from that.

The only reason I got this book was because it was on sale and because it was narrated by Jake Gyllenhaal. I’m intrigued and I really do want to get around to reading The Great Gatsby so it was a win win. Plus I think it was only like a dollar or something. Maybe $5.

Another cheap or free one. Either way, I’m looking forward to reading it around Christmas time. Maybe a November Readathin book?

This one is probably the highest on my TBR from my Audible books. Definitely one I’d like to prioritize.

And the last book I chose to get when canceling my Audible membership. I figured I might as well since it’s so highly hyped. I’m interested to see what the hype is about.

Currently this is my Audible replacement. It costs the same, except that each purchase helps out an independent bookstore. It seems like almost everything is the same except for the exclusives to Audible that obviously aren’t available on Either way, I recommend over Audible.

I only had it for a few months before I had to put my membership on hold because I currently don’t have an income. But that’s okay! I’m happy with what I have and obviously I have enough to get through between the two places.

I’m really excited for this one. As soon as I heard about it, I knew that I needed to add it to my TBR. And when I found the audiobook, even better!

I’m really excited for this one. Non-fiction is something I struggle with physically reading so I knew I wanted this one on audio. And of course being narrated by the other helped me with deciding that I needed it on audio.

I’ve been anticipating this book for so long now and I can’t wait to listen to it! It’s on my TBR for this month, but we’ll see if I actually end up getting to it.

I didn’t post a weekly update this week, obviously, but I am currently working on the audiobook for The Chestnut Man, I’m not sure what I’m going to listen to after that, but I have high hopes for it. Maybe I’ll start A Torch Against the Night or one of my books.

Let me know which book you think I should read next!

Thank you all so much for joining me in this blog post! I hope you all enjoyed and I’ll definitely see you all very soon in another post!

    • I’ve heard wonderful things and I’m really excited to get to it. I may listen to it after Chestnut Man because I have a feeling it’s one that I will start and not be able to stop until I’m done.
