Other People Don’t Define You

Good morning everyone. Sorry about not posting yesterday. I was going to talk about one thing but then decided that I didn’t want to do that one anymore. I couldn’t think of anything to post such short notice, so I just decided to skip it.

But today I’m going to be going into a topic very close to me and that’s about how other people don’t define you.

Let’s get right into this.

First of all, remember that you are the one who has to live your life. You’ve lived it thus far and you will continue to. No one else.

So don’t let someone else try to tell you how to live it. Do what makes you happy. Obviously be smart about it. Don’t break the law, don’t put yourself or anyone else in harm’s way, blah blah. But if you want to do something, do it.

But here’s the thing, you can’t judge yourself based on other people, especially people you don’t know everything about. And spoiler, but even if you think you do, you most likely don’t. People don’t like to show off their bad sides.

I’m very open about a lot of my bad sides, but that doesn’t mean you all know everything. And you never will. That goes for everyone online. You only see what they want you to see, most of the time.

Don’t compare yourself to what you’re seeing from them.

It’s something I struggle with, but that doesn’t mean I can’t use them as inspiration. Often I watch routine videos and cleaning videos (cleaning videos mostly today) to motivate my to be productive because I’d like to have a clean house or something along those lines.

Get inspiration from them, don’t strive to be them necessarily. That’s probably really confusing, but the general idea is to not look down on yourself because you’re not there or you never get there. Get to a point that works for you.

The thing about routine videos is that I know for a fact I’ll never be one to wake up at 5am and go to the gym. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t incorporate working out into my day or try to wake up early.

Just know that you are you and just because you aren’t doing things the same as other people, that doesn’t mean that you’re bad or less than them. Do things that work for you in a way that works for you.

I feel like these posts are always all over the place, but that’s okay. I hope that they help you out either way. I choose to talk about these things because they are things that I struggle with myself.

But I hope that you remember you are worthy of the world.
