Weekly Update | 2021 Intro and Jan 1-3)

Good morning everyone! I really hope you’re all doing well and had a wonderful weekend. Today I’m going to be going over what my weekly updates really entail.

I’m sure if you’ve been around for a bit, you know, but I needed some more “meat” to this post, so I decided I’d just go over it all again because why not?

So, let’s just do that.

My weekly updates are very broad for me. I focus my blog mostly on reading, but these updates allow me to broaden that a bit and talk about what I’m watching and listening to.

What I talk about in each one will vary depending on what I’ve finished and what I plan on working on for the next week.

I generally will be talking about the books, TV shows, Webtoons, and K-dramas I’ve finished. But, like I said, that will all depend on what I’ve done that week.

So, that all being said, let’s get into what I did these last 3 days (don’t worry, most of these will be over the course of a week).

I don’t think it’s surprising, but I haven’t finished any books. I’m prioritizing rereading The Hate U Give as my first read of the year, so I haven’t been reading anything else.

I’m not done with it yet though, so I won’t be going over that in this section.

So, technically as of writing this, I have not finished reading Back to You yet, but I do plan on finishing it before the night is over. So I wanted to make sure I included it.

This book is about a girl who ends up being sent back in time. That’s all I’m going to say about this. I highly recommend going in not knowing anything. I loved other works by this creator so I wanted to give this one a try and I don’t regret it at all.

Plans for Next Week

So, like I said I didn’t really do much over these last few days. I’ve honestly just been playing Stardew Valley and Sims 4. I’ve been working on the 100 Baby Challenge and if you want to see my progress on that, join the Discord and check out the Sims tab!

But I do have plans for next week, so let’s get into those!

I do plan on finishing my reread of The Hate U Give hopefully early join in the week. I know that I can fly through the rest of this reread and I’m glad this will be my first read of 2021.

This is a Books and Love book club book for January so I definitely need to finish it.

I really need to get around to finishing listening to A Reaper at the Gates. This will be my main focus after I finish The Hate U Give and will lead me into my next read.

A Reaper at the Gates and A Sky Beyond the Storm both get returned to my library in 10 days, so I plan on finishing them both before that so I don’t have to renew either of them again.

Moving on into the Webtoons I plan on reading (because I don’t think I’ll have time for much ebook reading so it’ll be easier with quick little webtoons).

So, I don’t know about what smaller/shorter webtoons I’m going to read, but I did have the goal to get through some of the longer ones this month. So I do plan on reading Pastel-Colored Pages. It’s a bit over 100 episodes long and I definitely think I can finish that over the course of the week.

I don’t know what it’s about, though, so I can’t help there.

TV Shows

I have been gradually working on catching up on Grey’s Anatomy, so I hope to do that this week. I’m almost done with season 14 of 16. So I definitely think that’s doable.

So, Hospital Playlist was one of those shows that I wanted to watch but something just kept holding me back. I don’t know what it was. But I saw that season 2 of this drama was being released in 2021, so I figured why not! So I’m hoping at at least start this drama sometime this week. We’ll see if I end up finishing it or not, though.

Alright everyone! That’s going to be it for this post! I do hope you all enjoyed. Let me know in the comments what your plans are for this week. What books are you hoping to finish?

Thank you all so much for joining me. I’ll definitely see you all very soon. Have a wonderful week!
