Weekly Update | Feb. 1-7, 2021

Good morning everyone! I hope you’re doing well. Today I’m going to be going over what I read and watched in the first week of February and the goals I have for next week!

Let’s get right into this!

So I don’t think I finished anything this week. I’ve been working on some books though. So let’s go over the books that I’m currently working on and the other books I want to read this week.

I’ve been working on this dang book since January. I am really enjoying it, but because the formatting is so weird, it’s one that I really need to focus on. It’s hard to find time to focus on it when I’m chasing a 5 year old around the house all day. And it’s a spooky book so sometimes reading it at night is a bit much.

I don’t think I’ll finish this book next week, realistically, but I would like to make more progress in it. Because I’m physically reading this, it’s going to be the only book I work on physically.

But that doesn’t mean I won’t have ebooks to work on. First off, I am hoping to finish reading Verona Comics and I hope to finish this early on during the week. I’m finally getting in a book light so I’ll be able to read physical books in bed without waking anyone up. So once that comes in, I’ll likely be trying to focus on reading House of Leaves when I would normally work on my ebooks.

But I do have an ARC that I need to read before it’s release on February 23rd, so I’m going to be working on Love at First after I finished Verona Comics. This book is about someone who falls in love with someone else just by the sound of her voice, without seeing her. He runs into her later in life when he returns to the building they lived in and she’s still there. But, if I’m not mistaken, he doesn’t realize that it’s her and the end up clashing.

Moving onto audiobooks, I’ve decided to get back into this one. I started listening to A Song of Wraiths and Ruin last year, but I never ended up finishing it. So I’m hoping to finish it this week. If I have time, I’ll pick back up Written in the Stars, but I’m not including it in my original plan.

Dramas/TV Shows

I started Lovestruck in the City this week and caught up. This drama is still ongoing and it’s only 30 minute episodes so it’s super quick to get through. This drama follows 6 people around and their romances. I think what I love about this drama is the fact that they don’t shy away from talking about sex and even better, casual sex. It’s not perfect, though. There are definitely flaws in the story that I would recommend knowing about before going in. One of the main plot lines has to do with lying so if that’s something that really bothers you, then I would probably stay away from this one.

I was determined to finish this dang show before the end of the week, but then video games happened and I didn’t end up finishing it. But I did almost finish Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol. I am on episode 15 of 16. So I’m literally right at the end. I will go over my full thoughts in next week’s post, though. So make sure you stick around for that.

So I’m going to set myself up to watch Yuri!!! On Ice. I swear, I’m going to watch this anime. It’s only 12 episodes, so I shouldn’t have any issue with watching it. I know my friend Christina is going to be happy I’m watching this one.

I wanted to mention this in here because I’m really excited about it. I’ll review it in next week’s post, but I really want to watch The Yin Yang Master: Dream of Eternity. I was going to watch it with my husband this past weekend, but we didn’t end up watching it. So I’m hopefully going to watch it with him this weekend.

I would like to watch another drama this week, but I’m not too sure what I would want to watch. So I may try a few different ones and watch whichever one captures my interest the most. I may do a post about it, but I don’t know when it will be going up. Definitely before I finish whichever show I end up choosing.

Alright everyone! That’s going to be it for this one. I do hope you all enjoyed this post. Let me know your plans for this upcoming week and I’ll definitely be seeing you all very soon. Have a wonderful week!
